Talented artists and ensembles selected in April at the Beverly Hills National Auditions will be presented in 2025 by the City of Beverly Hills’ on Music In The Mansion series in the historic Greystone Mansion, as well as engagement considerations by members of the Consortium of Chamber Music Presenters of Southern California, including Classical Sundays at Six at St. James in the City (formerly Sundays Live! at LACMA), Laguna Beach Live!, Classical Crossroads’ “First Fridays at First!~ƒƒƒ” & “Second Sundays at Two”, select California Presenters venues and more than 40 other Southland concert series.

The City of Beverly Hills has announced that the Beverly Hills National Auditions for the 2024-2025 concert season will take place on Saturday, April 13, 2024. An option is provided to audition virtually. The online application is available on the City of Beverly Hills website here.

Talented artists and ensembles selected at the Beverly Hills National Auditions will be presented in the 2025 season by the City of Beverly Hills’ on the Music In The Mansion series in the historic Greystone Mansion.

Winners are also considered for engagement by members of the Consortium of Chamber Music Presenters of Southern California, which includes: Classical Sundays at Six at St. James in the City (formerly Sundays Live! at LACMA), Laguna Beach Live!, Classical Crossroads’ “First Fridays at First! ~ fff” & “Second Sundays at Two”, and more than 40 other Southland concert series.

Each winning artist and ensemble receives an honorarium, with the event publicized online and in local newspapers. Auditions are open to instrumentalists, pianists, vocalists, and chamber ensembles.

Winners announced by Sunday, April 23, 2023.

Talented artists and ensembles selected in April at the Beverly Hills National Auditions will be presented throughout the 2022-2023 season in numerous Consortium series, including First Fridays at First, Desert Hot Springs Classical Concerts, LA Music Salon, Music By The Sea, Classical Sundays at Six, Laguna Beach Live!, and many more.

New this season, all the BHNA Winners will perform their full concert programs in Beverly Hills’ Music In The Mansion Festival Week:
Tuesday, April 18 – Sunday, April 23, 2023.

The City of Beverly Hills has announced that the Beverly Hills National Auditions for the 2022-2023 concert season will take place virtually on April 23, 2022 with a deadline to apply extended to Monday, April 11, 2022. The online application is available here.

All applicants are asked to include links to their performances posted online with their application. The performances can be on YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo or via a DropBox link to a .mov or .mp4 file.

Winners receive performance engagements and recognition in up to three concert series: Music By The Sea (City of Encinitas on Friday evenings), future Saturday performance series TBA, and Music In The Mansion (City of Beverly Hills’ Greystone Mansion on Sunday afternoons), as well as consideration for Classical Sundays at Six at St. James in the City (formerly Sundays Live! at LACMA), Laguna Beach Live! and more than 50 other Southland concert series through the Consortium of Southern California Chamber Music Presenters.

Each selected artist(s) receives an honorarium, with the event publicized online and in local newspapers. Auditions are open to instrumentalists, pianists, vocalists and chamber ensembles.

The Auditions Selection Committee announces the BHNA winners for the 2021/2022 concert season. They were selected in virtual auditions carried out during the Covid pandemic in May of 2020 and 2021.

The selected artist and ensembles receive concerts on:

• The City of Encinitas’ Music By The Sea concert series (2020 & 2021)
• City of Beverly Hills Music In The Mansion concert series in Beverly Hills’ historic Greystone Mansion (2021 only)

COVID-19: The April 2021 Beverly Hills National Auditions postponed until April 2022. 

The winners of the last April’s 2020 Beverly Hills National Auditions, whose 2020-2021 concerts had to be canceled, will be awarded concerts when live-audience concerts can be safely resumed, hopefully in the 2021-2022 concert season.

As some of last April’s winners are unavailable, there are open concert opportunities in 2021–2022. For information about these opportunities, please contact Laura Schmieder, Beverly Hills National Auditions’ chair, by clicking here. If you or your ensemble would like to be considered for these, an online Application submission is required. Deadline: Saturday, April 17, 2021. In consideration of the hardship musicians are facing due to COVID, the application fee is waived.

Please note: Plans for the Beverly Hills TV Department to videotape these concerts at Greystone Mansion and premiering them on BHTV proved infeasible because of COVID-19 travel restrictions. The artists and ensembles scheduled for fall 2020 will be re-scheduled in a future season. Presentation of concerts scheduled for 2021 will be  re-evaluated at a later date.
